Yes. EZPM uses Stripe to handle payments — the same processor behind checkout at Lyft, Amazon, Shopify, and thousands of others. Your account number is encrypted and never stored on EZPM’s servers. Stripe is the only system that ever sees the raw numbers.
EZPM itself is free for tenants. If you pay by bank account (ACH), Stripe charges a small flat fee of $5 per payment, regardless of rent amount. If you pay by card, Stripe’s fee is 2.9% + 30¢. Your landlord decides whether you see this fee as a line item or absorbs it themselves.
You’ll get an email letting you know, and you can come back to the portal and retry with a different payment method. Stripe automatically retries failed charges over a few days before giving up. Your landlord is also notified.
Yes, anytime, from the portal. Once you remove your saved payment methods or contact your landlord, auto-pay stops the next billing cycle.
On the log-in screen, click “Forgot password.” You’ll get a reset link by email. If you don’t see it, check spam or contact your landlord.
Your landlord needs to add you first. Reach out and ask them to send an invite to your email address. You can’t self-register — that’s by design, to keep things safe.
